Romil began his investment banking career in 2001 and has a strong UK Equity Capital Markets background coupled with a Corporate Finance and Corporate Broking background.

Romil worked at Morgan Stanley in Global Capital Markets in the ECM/Corporate Broking team where he focused on all Equity transactions including IPO transactions covering all sectors. He had a particular focus in the small/mid market with AIM clients and AIM IPOs. Romil also advised FTSE 100/FTSE 250 and AIM clients post IPO.

Prior to this Romil was an Associate Director at the leading AIM focused investment bank Collins Stewart in the Corporate Finance team where he focused on small growth companies and was involved in a wide variety of AIM IPO deals across various sectors.

Romil began his corporate finance career at Societe Generale in the Equity Capital Markets team focusing on Equity and Equity-Linked issuances in the UK and Northern Europe.

Romil has a BSc in Economics from University of Reading, MSc in International Securities, Investment and Banking from ICMA Business School and has passed the Chartered Financial Analyst level 1 and 2 exams.

Romil spends his spare time playing tennis, playing football for a school veterans team and designing ‘Grand Designs’ projects.

Russell Duckworth

Russell has over 35 years investment banking, asset management and private equity experience from bulge bracket investment banks like UBS and Deutsche Bank. Russell set up Hawkwood Capital to focus on Private Equity over 15 years ago and is Managing Partner of Hawkwood Capital.

Russell started his finance career as an accountant and qualified as a chartered accountant at PwC.

Russell began his investment banking career at Deutsche Bank in 1995 as an Equity Analyst in the European markets. In 1997 he was promoted to Head of European Equity Research and then Head of Global Equity Research in 2000. During this period Russell also served on the Global Equity Operating committee, as Deutsche emerged as a top 3 player in Global Equities.

Before Deutsche Bank, Russell worked in S.G Warburg’s Corporate Finance division in 1987, and spent 5 years advising companies in the UK, Europe and the US. In 1992, Russell was an Equity Analyst at Warburg in the Healthcare and Leisure sectors.

Russell sits on the board of five companies. Russell has a BSc in Economics from City University and is an ACA qualified accountant.

Russell is a regular tennis player and can be found playing at Queens and Hurlingham every week.
